About Linnet

Linnet is a public accountant and a karate instructor (when not working too hard as an accountant) making her a certified geek by day and ninja by night. She’s fiercely loyal, consistently spontaneous, and always looking forward to another adventure.

Indulge in these 10 random facts:

  1. Perhaps the most rewarding moment so far in life has been watching students develop from the 1st day they started karate to the day they received their black belt.
  2. Ridiculously huge fan of tennis, especially men’s tennis. You will always catch me rooting for Andre Agassi (retired), Justine Henin (retired), Roger Federer, James Blake, and Raphael Nadal.
  3. Spent most of my time before college being in the spotlight, and spent all of college being the kid who sat in the back row (on days I decided to show up to class).
  4. Sincerely believe that a huge string of unrelated events tracing back to 10 years ago has landed me exactly where I am in life today and even the company I work for. It’s all strangely coincidental, but it makes me feel like my life has direction and I belong where I am right now.
  5. This is perhaps my favorite candid photo of me. To my delight, it was in the Daily Bruin!
  6. Love watching movies, but I don’t always remember what they are about. I usually just take away a lesson and forget the plot, so I rarely mind watching a movie for the second, third, fourth time.
  7. Have participated in a ridiculous number of competitive individual sports and loved every single one of them. I’ve also loved every coach I’ve had and miss the ones I’ve lost contact with.
  8. Two words: Family first.
  9. Constantly looking for challenges. I think it’s important to be happy and grateful for what you have, but to have a hunger for something great(er) is equally important.
  10. I clap when I laugh.
